The second phase of the campus-wide modernization project provides a new five-story 262,000 SF diagnostic and treatment building. It is connected at all floor levels by a fully enclosed bridge link to the new bed tower, completed in 2001. Construction of this building began in June 2002 and was occupied in 2006. The project budget for this phase was $145 million. The new building houses state-of-the-art facilities for emergency care, imaging and other diagnostic and treatment modalities, surgical suite and labor & delivery suite.
