The Renaissance Health Care Network provides comprehensive primary care services for the families of Central and West Harlem and the northern tip of Manhattan through nine conveniently located community health centers, including the Renaissance Health Care Network Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Our services include free pregnancy testing, prenatal care and delivery, well-child care, cancer screening, treatment of chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension, dental services and immunizations.
Each patient's care is overseen by a personal health care provider, who works with the primary care team of nursing staff, social workers and nutritionists to ensure that medical and psychosocial needs are appropriately addressed. Patients are able to call their physicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The dedicated staff has developed special programs to target the needs of each Center's community. Our Babygram Program, for example, provides education and case management services for teen mothers who are completing high school. Our innovative Developmental Evaluation Clinic assesses, evaluates and links support services for children from two to 18 who are diagnosed with developmental disabilities. This clinic has Early Childhood Intervention Certification to assess the developmental needs of newborns to age three and make referrals as needed.
The Renaissance Health Care Network also offers a full range of ambulatory HIV/AIDS counseling, testing and treatment services, including oral health care, and conducts an extremely successful HIV/AIDS Support Group. Related Community Outreach efforts include early intervention and education programs for at-risk teens and adults.
